We are seeking an Analyst / Senior Analyst – Transport (Logistics & Freight) to join our Transport Practice. The role focuses on advancing sustainable freight and logistics systems, including electric trucks, hydrogen-based freight solutions, charging and refueling infrastructure, digital freight optimization, and decarbonization pathways for the logistics sector. The Analyst / Senior Analyst will play a key role in delivering client engagements, conducting research and modeling, and contributing to the development of strategies and policies that accelerate the transition to clean logistics and freight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support consulting assignments on logistics, freight corridors, and clean freight technologies (EVs, hydrogen trucks, biofuels)
- Conduct market assessments, techno-economic analyses, and policy evaluations for freight decarbonization projects
- Map and analyze logistics value chains (road, rail, port connectivity, warehousing, multimodal transport)
- Support design of business models, investment roadmaps, and infrastructure deployment strategies for clients
- Develop and validate data-driven insights from secondary and primary research, stakeholder consultations, and modelling exercises
- Prepare high-quality deliverables including reports, presentations, policy briefs, and proposals
- Engage with stakeholders including government, multilateral agencies, logistics operators, OEMs, financiers, and technology providers
- Mentor analysts and interns working in the Transport Practice
- Contribute to knowledge-building initiatives such as whitepapers, webinars, and industry collaborations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Transport Planning, Logistics & Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in freight/logistics, transport planning, or decarbonization projects
- Strong understanding of freight sector dynamics: trucking, rail, multimodal transport, logistics efficiency, and digitalization
- Exposure to sustainable mobility solutions including EV trucking, hydrogen trucks, charging/refueling infra, and fleet electrification.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis, modelling tools, and market assessments.
- Strong research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and multi-disciplinary environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in working with government policies, tenders, or industry studies.
- Knowledge of carbon markets and financing mechanisms for clean transport.
- Experience in international donor-funded projects or multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping, transport modelling tools, or logistics optimization software.
