The client wanted to develop a follow-up study to recommend renewable energy integration for EV charging in Sierra Leone, building on the Gender-Sensitive National e-Mobility Strategy (2024–2035) under the GEF-funded project. The study supports long-term low-carbon mobility growth and aligns with the project’s fourth component.
Objective
The client wanted to provide recommendations for integrating renewable energy with electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Sierra Leone. This study follows the development of the Gender-Sensitive National e-Mobility Strategy (2024–2035) under the GEF-funded project “Supporting Sierra Leone in Shifting to e-Mobility.” It focuses on aligning renewable energy integration with low-carbon mobility goals, promoting long-term environmental sustainability and supporting implementation of the project’s fourth component.
